All ROM coal extracted from West Wallsend Colliery is processed at the MCPP. Blended coal from the raw coal stockpile is fed into the MCPP via a conveyor. Coal is screened, separated according to size and rinsed. Coal is then deposited onto the energy and coking coal stockpile according to coal quality.
