The rehabilitation program at the MCPP aims to progressively rehabilitate disturbed areas to the same or better level of biodiversity, species abundance and landscape quality than that which was present prior to the disturbance taking place.

The MCPP rehabilitation strategy includes approaches to landform design and visual impact, slope angles, surface preparation, revegetation and habitat planning. Rehabilitation of disturbed land is carried out in accordance with the MCPP Mining Operations Plan.
