The mine supplies both thermal and Semi Soft Coking Coal products principally to Asian utilities and steel mills. Coal is processed in the Macquarie Coal Preparation Plant and transported by rail to the Port of Newcastle for export. Longwall production is forecast to increase from approximately 3Mtpa to 4.5Mtpa over the next three years. This is the result of going to 24/7 production and longer longwall blocks.
